The datasets contain administrative boundaries, roads, railway, Town, Village, land use/land cover, etc.

The datasets are developed by WFP, UNODC, UNEP, UN OCHA and MIMU,  in intermediate-scale at 1:250,000 (approximately in Quarter Inch scale) in Geographic Coordinate System using WGS 1984 Datum and from other relevent datasets for Myanmar acquired from Digital Chart of the World (DCW), GeoNetwork, etc.

Courtesy of a community creator on Zenodo, a georeferenced (to WGS1984) and cropped set of about 820 historic "63k Maps of Burma" at a scale of 1 inch per mile (1:63,360), half inch (1:126,720), quarter inch (1:253,440) are now available, covering about 75% of the country. These topographic maps, originally produced and published by the Royal Survey of India between 1899 and 1946, have been scanned and shared with the public by John Brown under a CC BY 4.0 International Licence.

Since John Brown’s original scans were in the Everest 1830 projection, these were first converted to the WGS1984 (EPSG4326) standard projection. Next, the cropping process kept only the map area, allowing a seamless mosaic without overlapping map frames when multiple sheets are combined in GIS software. The aim is to make them easier to use and integrate with other GIS data.
